Boeing is searching for Network Designer Experts to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify lifecycle balanced network solutions for operational programs of vital importance to our customers.

 

As a member of our team, you will evaluate customer/operational needs with other engineering disciplines to design, develop, deploy, and maintain network systems that conform to architectural and security standards.

 

Candidates applying for this position must be proficient in the design, deployment and maintenance of the following technologies:

Cisco managed switches (3850 series preferred)

Cisco multi-fabric switches

Cisco routers

Cisco security appliances and firewalls

 

The design, deployment and maintenance of technology includes:

Assembly and installation of hardware

Installation and configuration of:

IPv4 network

VLAN

Static routes and routing protocols

Quality of service

Storage Area Network (SAN)

Security configuration compliant with ICD 503

 

This position will require interaction with customers, end users, team members, representatives from supporting organizations and vendors.  Candidates must possess a professional demeanor that promotes collaboration and demonstrates confidence both in day-to-day operations and in emergent situations.  As a senior member of the team, selected candidates will be expected to demonstrate leadership by effectively promoting the skills and attributes listed for this position in other team members.  Candidates applying for this position must have a work ethic focused on optimizing productivity and quality of the products and services delivered in support of the mission.

Qualifications

Required:

Position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Network Design Experience.

Proficient in the deployment and maintenance of the following technologies:

Cisco managed switches (3850 series preferred)

Cisco multi-fabric switches

Cisco routers

Cisco security appliances and firewalls

 

Work Authorization:

This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

 

Typical Education/Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
