The Boeing Company is actively recruiting for Guidance Navigation and Control Engineer (Associate) at the Hill AFB, UT area. Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons and autonomous system Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) system design, development, integration and test. Flight Engineering is looking for motivated, talented engineers to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III ICBM Operational Software Sustainment Program (IOSSP). Selected candidates will support IOSSP in a wide range of existing and new areas of GN&C, performance analysis and simulation solutions.  The selected candidates will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

• Gather system level requirements for Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C), sustainment requirements definition

• Perform & document analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) systems, simulations, models & tools

• Support reviews, analyses, simulations and component / system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations

• Support troubleshooting of delivered products / service anomalies and incidents

• Participate in new business development efforts

• Works independently or under little supervision

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 1+ year of experience in Control Systems or Guidance, Navigation and Control System design

• 1+ year of experience using Matlab/Simulink or MatrixX

• Experience or coursework in computer programming in C, C#, C++, Ada or other common programming languages

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Current active DoD Secret clearance

• Experience with simulation and / or system/component modeling

• Experience with Kalman Filter design, estimation techniques

• Experience with implementing algorithms in real time systems

• Experience with autocoding of software

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
