Job Description

The Strategic Deterrence Systems Marketing and Sales Rep (Level 4) position is based on Hill AFB, near Ogden UT, and reports to the senior manager for Strategic Deterrence Systems Domestic Sales & Marketing. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategy implementation and supporting the capture of strategic weapon systems-related pursuits, including ICBMs and related systems.

Primary Responsibilities
• Developing and executing marketing plans, creating and maintaining contact plans and continuous, coordinated contact with customers, extensive business case development, proposal preparation and evaluation following Boeing's Integrated Business Acquisition Process.
• Developing and executing the strategy, funding requirements and action plans for successfully protecting and growing the business while interfacing on a routine basis with senior military officers within DoD, Air Force, U.S. Strategic Command, and other U.S. Government agencies.
• Interact with a diverse and geographically dispersed team of professionals while building and leveraging close, cross-functional working relationships across the strategic deterrence systems team, relevant Boeing Field Offices, the Washington DC office, campaign and development program teams.
• Work across Boeing Strategic Deterrence Systems programs to align business unit objectives and provide leaders recommendations.

Qualifications

Typical Education & Experience
Technical bachelor's degree and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
• This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
• Experience in the domain of ballistic missile programs.

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience accomplishing results through cross functional and staff teams.
• Experience in advising teams to meet schedules or resolve problems.
• Expert communication skills for frequent contacts with managers and customer representatives
• Prefer a master's degree
• 15 years or more of relevant (USAF ICBM) experience.
• Extensive domain knowledge of ICBM / strategic nuclear (Minuteman, Peacekeeper, ALCM)Air Force customer with background knowledge of DoD Strategic Weapon Programs and US Strategic Command Deterrence and Air Force Global Strike mission needs – positive reputation in the ICBM customer community.
• Knowledgeable of effects-based technologies and logistics requirements, customer environment and decision-makers for these systems as well as the Defense Department’s Planning, Programming and Budgeting and Execution system.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) customers and their acquisition processes.
