The Regional IT Security Lead (RISL), North Asia reports to the IT&DA Regional Leader and is functionally aligned to the Information Security team led by the CISO.  He/she is responsible for ensuring all IT systems, infrastructure, process and procedures comply with Boeing and customer information security requirements, policies, standards, guidelines and procedures.

This can include but is not limited to:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to maintain complete awareness of all relevant information security policies and standards including the country government Information Security Management (ISM) principles and controls.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure customer requirements can be supported within enterprise information security frameworks.
  • Partner with internal IT service providers to ensure compliance with internal and external IT security requirements.
  • Evaluate information security risks and develop corrective action plans as required.
  • Provide compliance and audit support, communicating compliance status to internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in and/or lead incident response
  • Provide guidance on IT security issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to service improvement activities within the IT&DA organization
  • Support long range business planning in conjunction with other IT&DA stakeholders
  • Engage Joint Venture and Supplier partners to ensure supply chain cybersecurity best practices are adhered and shared

Some travel may be required. This role also requires significant flexibility as off-hours activity will be needed to coordinate with globally dispersed teammates and stakeholders.


This requisition is for a local hired employee.


Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the country of hire. Boeing will not seek immigration and labor sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll.


Skills and competencies:
  • All applicants must be able to speak fluent English
  • Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese is preferred.  Other regional languages such as Korean & Japanese are a plus
  • Must have strong information security knowledge to build credibility with both the functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to represent company to a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge IT security policy and standards particularly in aerospace, government and defense sectors
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment

Education & Experience:

  • Technical bachelor's degree and typically 12 or more year’s related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 10 or more year's related work experience or a PhD with typically 6 or more year's related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Relevant security certifications (eg, CISSP, CISA)
  • Extensive experience in IT security roles across infrastructure and application domains ideally in large scale complex organizations.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams
