Boeing Research and Technology is seeking an Engineering/Operations Production Support Lead to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA.
This position is part of the EO/IR Mission Systems team within BR&T. The focus of this team is to design cutting edge sensor systems, and the key technologies that enable those systems, to support both Boeing and its external customers. Systems range from airborne EO/IR systems to space payloads. The team is focused on providing complete solutions, including systems engineering, optics design, mechanical design, algorithms, software development, firmware development, electronics, and advanced system modeling and simulations. As part of BR&T, the primary focus is on prototype systems and demonstrations, so we’re looking for people who like to try new things, and aren’t afraid of a challenge!
An Engineering/Operations Production Support candidate is sought to support a multi-disciplinary program team to develop plans & procedures, assist in facilities (flight/Demo lab operations support) and asset (STE/Tooling) management, coordinate with Security Operations (oversight/implementation), production activities (work order, Planning, PR-PO, Kitting) to ensure the successful hardware processing / integration to meet mission objectives.
The Engineering & Production Support candidate will manage and oversee all facets of the production flow and ensure/assist in requirements flow to meet program / quality needs. This engagement will consist of but not limited to skills and knowledge & coordination with the following systems – Configuration Management, evolving Work-Order release/development (MESCI), PR/PO/EPART. Emphasis on Payload Level Hardware Integration and Test, from sub-assembly thru final (environmental) test. The candidate shall possess skills with internal and external processing of space flight hardware as well as close coordination with Engineering & Program leadership. The candidate will be responsible for building up and taking ownership of the suitable production environments that are used to meet program requirements (Labs-operations, Tooling, STE, Capital & Expense, interfacing with Production Control & Security activities, supporting projects thru sell off requirements. The candidate will assist & create plans that ensure the production hardware/facilities are maintained at a high level of readiness. The candidate will regularly generate reports of status / performance to program leadership as well as supporting evolving capabilities of the EO/IR organization.
Position Responsibilities:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Huntington Beach, CA location.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
7+ years of experience with space flight production
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working within an SRP/MRP system
Experience working payload level assembly and test
Experience working with production control/CMDM
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+13 years' related work experience, 19 years' related work experience, etc.)

Summary pay range: $128,350 - $173,650
