Boeing is looking for a qualified, energetic, and curious Cybersecurity Test Lead to support Cyber Test and Evaluation efforts of the Product Security (PS) engineering team on the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program in Huntsville, AL. This person will assist in the overall system cyber testing efforts and provide direct engineering oversight of the GMD Cyber Test activities and team on the program as part of a complete Cyber Engineering Lifecycle. In joining this important GMD mission and team, you are becoming an integral part of the Missile and Weapon Systems (MWS) PS Engineering workforce.
The successful candidates will lead efforts to plan, design, integrate, execute, analyze, and report GMD activities and results for the Cyber Test and Evaluation campaign to include:
Cyber Table Top Exercises
Cyber Vulnerability Investigations (CVIs)
Adversarial Cyber Development (ACD) Tests
Controls Validation Tests
Cooperative Vulnerability and Penetration Assessments (CVPA)
Adversarial Assessments as described in the program test plans
The candidate will partner with the GMD test team to lead the BMDS and Operational Cyber Test activities
The candidate will also lead efforts to conduct Cyber Testing to validate and verify cyber requirements and RMF controls are implementation per the Cyber Implementation Plan (CIP)
The candidate will also support the development, sustainment, use and configuration of the CRIAB (Cyber Range in-a-Box) which will involve creating, testing, pen testing, exploiting, etc. virtual versions of GMD systems and networks
The candidate will also partner with the GMD Test team to help ensure Cyber Test planning, dependencies, and optimizations to GMD Element test objectives, test and data requirements, test configurations, integration and analysis plans, test planning documentation, supporting schedules, and determination of applicable findings
The candidate will support risk analysis and mitigation planning of the test findings
The candidate will be responsible to utilize Agile methodologies for planning and execution of tasks, as part of the integrated GMD PS Engineering team
The candidate will perform other Product Security Tasks as needed
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study)
5+ years with a combination of test planning and execution, Cyber Test and Evaluation activities such as penetration testing, threat, adversity and risk analysis, and exploitation tool development, tailoring, and use and general cybersecurity engineering
DoD 8570 IAM/IAT Level 1 certification or higher
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
8+ years of experience, or equivalent education or experience
Familiarity with US military, military customs, and/or defense systems
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
