Job Description

Overview:

  • Verification and Integration Systems Engineer
  • The selected individual will perform systems engineering tasks associated with the verification of system and subsystem requirements and system integration of components into the larger system.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining verification objectives and strategies
  • Identifying required data for verification closure packages
  • Obtaining and assessing verification data
  • Supporting test planning meetings
  • Plan and execute technical reviews
  • Coordinate with suppliers on requirements and verification planning

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • This senior position has job responsibilities aligned to individuals holding a Bachelor's of Science degree in engineering and 5 to 10 years of engineering experience. 
  • Systems engineering experience developing verification objectives or verification closure packages for an aerospace product.
  • Experience resolving technical issues involving multiple functional areas or IPTs.
  • Understanding of risk management processes.
  • Understanding of Research, Design, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) cycles within a program and the use of incremental design reviews for product maturity milestones.
  • Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to read schematics, understanding of drawing standards, drawing and configuration management systems, and producibility principles.

Assets (Preferred): 

  • Systems engineering experience on an aerospace program during the product development phase.
  • Development and qualification test planning experience.
  • Experience implementing industry standard systems engineering processes and procedures using industry standard tools such as DOORS and Rhapsody.
  • Experience identifying technical risks and developing associated mitigation plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to consolidate technical data into reports and presentations and clearly communicate technical information.

Typical Education / Experience:

Level 3:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
