This requisition is for completing work on a Boeing contract in Kuwait. Management, day-to-day supervision at the workplace and administration of compensation and benefits will be arranged by Boeing Kuwait, Inc., while the contract of employment will be with Al Daleel Al Awsat General Trading and Contracting Company.
This position is part of the on-site C-17 Field Services Engineering and Technical Support (FETS) team supporting the Kuwait Air Force customer at Al-Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait and will require relocation to Kuwait.
Primary responsibilities:
- Apply broad knowledge of Boeing C-17 design and engineering principles to assess and resolve complex operational issues through the aircraft's lifecycle.
- Lead & conduct root cause analyses and develop dispositions to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations.
- Apply engineering principles to research technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer and design interim and final engineering solutions.
- Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues.
- Develop and implement product/process improvements.
- Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participate in design and in-service reviews.
- Represent the engineering community in the post production environment.
- Develop and sustain customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
- Lead on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support team.
- Analyze damage repairs or structural modifications to help determine appropriate repair approaches, prevent collateral damage and assure a safe work environment.

- Strong background in engineering and maintenance operations of aircraft structures, propulsion and hydro mechanical aircraft systems. Applicant must also be familiar with electrical, avionics, and communication systems of large aircraft.
- Prior C-17 field experience in troubleshooting complex integrated systems, utilizing engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, system schematics, & historical repair data is highly desirable.
- Prior Field Service / Flight Test / Material Review Board (MRB) experience and a Delegation of Engineering Authority (or equivalent) in multiple disciplines is a plus.
- Engineering Degree and typical experience in engineering classification.


Desired Skills:
- The applicant must have a strong background in the design, theory of operation, qualification testing, engineering drawings, operational performance, repair and maintenance of C-17 systems.
- Specialist knowledge in one or more of the following is required: airframe structure, hydro-mechanical, electrical, environmental, propulsion, mission, avionics, and communication systems.
- Familiarity with the operation, maintenance and fault diagnosis of aircraft is highly desirable.
- The applicant should have general knowledge of aircraft support equipment, USAF processes, procedures, & protocols and the ability to apply this knowledge to develop action plans.
- Knowledge of C-17 & lessons learned, pending design improvements, support systems, technical orders, and repair philosophy is desirable.
- The applicant will be required to provide hands-on aircraft and technical support to all other C-17 aircraft operators and maintainers participating in the C-17 Globemaster III Integrated Sustainment Program.
- Travel to other operating locations to assist with operation, maintenance, and recovery of aircraft may be required.
Working hours: 40 hours/5 days per week with two days of weekend rest. The days of weekend rest may vary and will be established and communicated by management in accordance with business schedule.
This position requires the ability to work independently in a wide variety of cultural/economic settings, under time constraints and stress, in a demanding, on-call, around the clock operational environment.

This requisition is for an international locally hired product review engineer level 3 in support of the Kuwait Air Force C-17 Field Operations at Al Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Kuwait labor and immigration formalities. This is a level 3 position and candidate must meet experience and qualifications in relation to the scope and responsibility of the position.
