Engineering Manager – Govt. Services

You must be a US Citizen and have strong written and oral communication skills. The individual must have experience with Aerospace/Defense Engineering Projects (Electrical or Mechanical).
Preferred: Knowledgeable with Military Standards and the following tools: UG-NX, PATRAN, NASTRAN, PSPICE.
Experience with the oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Demonstrated ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple engineering disciplines and functions to evaluate technical information and issues.

In this role, the ideal candidate will Manage the overall CDG Engineering team with technical understanding of the complete engineering life cycle. Interface with the customer and be the product advocate to ensure timely delivery and performance.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:
Degree in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical): Bachelor’s and 7 or more years’ work experience in engineering preferred. Preferred: ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

EXPERIENCE:
Product engineering encompassing components of the entire life cycle – concept to delivery. Experience in the Aerospace industry in engineering, marketing, program management and/or sales.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aerospace industry in a global environment
• Must have previous profit and loss responsibility
• Strategic planning experience a plus
• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading teams of engineers
• Excellent understanding of engineering practices, industry standards, and future of market
• Experience working with leading OEMs, partners, and suppliers in the aerospace industry a plus
• Strong language skills (multi-language is plus)
• Ability to interface effectively with different levels and personalities of the global engineering business unit
• Ability and interest in analyzing, understanding, and organizing information in fields outside your current areas of expertise

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Communicates effectively with customers, sales, and marketing teams on product capabilities and features.
• Work with sales team in meeting key clients on pursuing new growth including traveling to client sites.
• Work with customers to create ROI and demonstrate value proposition. Respond to RFP/RFI/RFQ.
• Develops and implements plans and forecasts to achieve objectives for engineering services.
• Possess an understanding of engineering job practices, techniques, industry standards, principles, theories and concepts.
• Forms strategic partnerships with industry leading companies that further enhance CDGs position in Engineering Services.
• Act a primary interface liaison on behalf of the CDG Global team.
• Effectively manage resources in collaboration with the global engineering team.
• Must have strong project management skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
