Job Description

The European Technology Center functions as a technology R&D center in Europe, developing technology solutions, focusing on Airplane Systems, Materials & Manufacturing and Airline Services.
You will join the Center to support the Engineering Research activities of the organization in the Model-Based Engineering domain, with emphasis in Avionics. Your responsibilities would involve research and/or support to product development in the field of Avionics, with emphasis in Flight Management, systems engineering and modeling and simulation of electronic systems. Occasional travel may be required.

Competencies
- Strong background (10+ years) in Avionics systems with emphasis in Flight Management
- Modeling and Simulation of Electronic/Electrical Systems
- Experience in Systems Engineering
- Experience in Software Engineering/Software Architecture.
- Matlab/Simulink is a must. C++, SVN, Linux, Scrum and Agile are a strong plus.
- Knowledge in airplane systems beyond Avionics is a strong plus
- Previous work/College experience in multicultural environments will be very useful.
- Knowledge of Flight Dynamics and Aircraft Performance are a strong plus.
- Demonstrated experience in Research and Physical Reasoning
- Fluency in English and good communication, presentation and technical writing skills is a must. Spanish and other European languages are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required; Master's or Ph.D will be considered a strong plus.
Preferred fields: Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace or similar with strong background in Flight Management and Avionics systems, systems engineering, modeling and simulation and research.
Engineering (10+ years of experience).
Demonstrated technical judgment and initiative.
Self-motivation and Research Experience are a must.
Deep understanding of electronic systems modeling is a must, airplane systems such as Flight Management Systems.


This requisition's primary and preferred location is Madrid, Spain. Munich, Germany could be considered as an additional working location.
