Job Description

Position Overview:

The Engineering Software Administrator will assist the Director of Engineering Operations by tracking, and reporting status on various projects overseen by the Engineering organization. The successful candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills.  Ideal candidate would have a strong interest in technology and be a power user with Excel. A basic understanding of the concepts behind client server applications including databases as well as the processes used in rolling out pre-packaged software applications. 

Roles and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will monitor and manage the following systems, inventory, and tasks:
• Support weekly status report preparation by running metrics reports and tables on license utilization, ensure proper formatting, collating content from multiple sources.
• Develop Operations Review chart deck from significant activities, accomplishments, and issues derived from the weekly reports.
• Manage, update, and maintain project list. Attend recurring meetings to ensure assigned actions are captured and tracked.
• Assign software licenses for Engineering managed products for new users. Create user accounts in Engineering owned Data bases.
• Monitor Engineering Software HelpDesk queue, prioritize and assign tickets to appropriate individual, run system reports and distribute.
• Monitor multiple systems to ensure standard jobs are executing appropriately, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure they are resolved.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates Degree in an Engineering field, Information Technology or equivalent years of experience in a related field.
Ability to work with several operating systems, including Windows 7, Windows 10, and Mac.
Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, ideally including scripting / macros for same.
Experience maintaining office budget, supply inventories and expense reports.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. at waist height.

Shift Requirements:

1st Shift (9-5)
