Looking for an energetic, analytical, and intellectually curious individual to join our team. The FP&A Analyst will report to the CFO and support the VP of Manufacturing to ensure optimized manufacturing operations through reporting and analysis. Manufacturing metrics: Identify manufacturing KPIs to ensure optimized manufacturing performance across all major Aurora sites. This will include facility utilization, efficiency, overhead rates, on-time delivery and functional utilization as examples. Standardize the calculations, collection and reporting of this data.
Make versus buy: Complete make versus buy analysis as required for items that could potentially be manufactured internally or outsourced. Develop ‘should-costs’ for items that are outsourced.
Capital investments: Provide financial analysis to support large capital investments.
Capex and Capital Commitments: Be the focal point for all company capital commitments and capital expenditures including facility expansions / real estate, long-range planning and tracking of actual expenditures.
COPQ: Review cost of poor quality metric, calculations and sources for the raw data to ensure standardization. Report on these metrics monthly.
Budgets: Help VP of Manufacturing develop and track his / her annual budget and budgets within his / her responsibility including annual and long-range planning and comparisons to actuals.
Overhead rates: Provide detailed monthly analysis on overhead rates, variances to plan and ideas for driving performance in this area.
Inventory and fixed assets: Provide leadership on inventory and fixed assets work as needed including review of inventory turns.
Other: Help with other ad-hoc analysis, reporting or activities as required (e.g. IRAD account tracking for manufacturing technology projects).
- B.S. in finance, business, accounting, mathematics or similar discipline.
- At least 5 years of demonstrable experience performing financial analysis with strong financial data and analysis skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.
- Familiarity with SAP or other financial system required.
- Experience in government contracting a plus.
- Must be a US Person
