Introduction:
Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for Training Coordinator Intern within Quality Department to assist with administrative support of quality systems, metrics, training, engineering authorisations and additional tasks as directed by the BDUK Quality Manager (QM) or Training & Authorisations lead.
About the role:
The role includes, but is not limited to:
- Development of the annual training schedule which is approved by the BDUK QM
- Implementation of the training schedule by ensuring availability of instructors, rooms and resources as required
- Work with colleagues to help identify any training requirements and arranging additional courses as required
- Maintaining and updating of the training schedule
- Production of training certificates
- Monitoring the review dates of all training material and arranging reviewers when required
- Monitoring training metrics in the Boeing systems in order to identify any potential problems and report on progress of training
- Reviewing all training feedback and identifying opportunities for improvement. Provide feedback to instructors and QM as required
- Liaison with Office Administrators (OA’s) to identify new joiners
- Arranging induction weeks for new joiners as required
- Monitoring instructor numbers to ensure successful delivery of the training schedule and raising any risks or issues to the QM
- Scheduling training in the Boeing systems
- Providing credit for training in the Boeing systems
- Acting as administrator for Training and Authorisations
Further details:
Authorisations Assistant scope:
- Monitoring of an outlook mailbox for new authorisation requests
- Conducting initial assessment of training certificates, experience and associated evidence to determine if competency requirements are met.
- Completing all new joiner induction forms
- Liaising with managers and individuals to gather additional evidence i
- Preparation of the technicians Log-Book
- Reviewing of the database to highlight when authorisations are due to expire
- Emailing updates to managers to inform them of soon to expire authorisations within their area
- Maintenance and upkeep of the database.
Secondary Tasks
- Documentation reviews –Assist with the review of proposals, contracts, Military Aviation Authority Regulatory Publications (MRP), program and customer requirements in order to identify training and authorisations needs
- Process reviews / updates – To generate, review and update processes relating to training and engineering authorisations which will be approved by the process owner.
- Non-Conformance Management – Help with identifying causes of any non-conformance raised within training and authorisations.
Additional Activities
- Continuous Improvement – identify opportunities for improvement within existing conditions and processes.
- Employee Involvement (EI) – Be a member of continuous improvement team.
- Internal Auditor Assistant – As part of your personal development you will be required to undertake a period of training and mentoring to allow you to support internal audits of the business under the direction of a lead auditor.
Training
You are required to complete the following training courses in addition to your mandatory training, to enable successful delivery of the role, you will be supported to complete all training:
- Human Factors - Essential
- Foreign Object detection - Essential
- Internal Auditor Training
- Quality Standards Training
- Aviation Regulations Training
- Scheduling and Administrator Training

Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Work Authorization:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorization to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
