We are looking for
Entry level Procurement Field Rep in Nagoya, Japan. This team supports 737, 747, 767, 777, 777X and 787 programs for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA). Primary Job Responsibilities
As a Procurement Field Rep you will help ensure on-time, high-quality and best cost for airplane parts and major structures being produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Subaru, and their sub-tier suppliers for Boeing. You will be part of a team that has the following day-to-day job responsibilities:
  • Identifying and analyzing problems, developing risk mitigation and recovery plans and monitoring supplier performance-to-plan to ensure delivery commitments to Boeing are met.
  • Communicating across functions (e.g. procurement, suppliers, supplier quality, engineering and manufacturing) and across cultures (e.g. Japan, United States).
  • Supporting key Boeing initiatives and improvement activities, including Lean manufacturing and engineering improvements to support more efficient and cost effective manufacturing at Boeing suppliers.
  • Developing and sustaining strong relationships with suppliers and Boeing teammates across Japan and in the United States.

 

Employment status
This position is for an international, locally hired person.  Employment may be offered on a long-term basis, or as a fixed-term one-year contract, depending on business need.

Qualifications
 
  • Possess 2 years of relevant supply chain management experience with a focus on supplier management
  • Ability to have fun, be passionate and grow your skills
  • Spoken and written English language skills
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Interest in supply chain management
  • Interest in manufacturing and/or the aerospace industry
