for a Business to Technical Specialist 4
Collaborates with project owners/stakeholders to understand business needs, project specifications, business case development and cost analysis. Identifies and documents customer business problems and objectives by spending significant time in customer engagements. Analysis data to determine business problems, trends and opportunities in the market. Works with targeted product users to define, document, validate and evaluate business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimum valuable product (MVP) via techniques such as reviews, walkthroughs and customer demos. Translates business needs into clearly defined and documented detailed, high quality technical requirement, functional designs, and system supplemental specifications. Responsible for verification that the delivered minimum valuable product (MVP) requirements meet the customer needs based on the specifications, ensuring minimal defect in both user acceptance test (UAT) and production. Supports the development manager to remove roadblocks of the increase of velocity. Raises issues and risks and is responsible for assisting in the resolution those.
  • Supports strategic product owner to identify and document customer business problems and objectives by spending significant time in customer engagements. Formulates and communicates the business vision, understand the user personas, market trends, competitors, and market price. Supports in defining, refining and documenting business requirements and user stories of the proposed minimum valuable product (MVP). Goal is to get the project focused early by translating the initial high-level vision into a minimum valuable product (MVP), including the support of defining the business model and go-to-market strategy.
  • Interacts with project stakeholders to clarify and define product and system requirements associated with proposed solutions, including translation of business requirements into technical requirements which is an interactive process throughout the entire project lifecycle. Important is the distillation of the differing messages of various project stakeholders into a single, consistent vision, including negotiations while acting as a knowledge integrator.
  • Analyzes and documents features and user stories and develops detailed functional and user specifications as a basis for detailed design, development specifications and estimates with SME’s in technology development.
  • Interacts with technical product owner, system engineers, developers and software testers to ensure customer requirements are fully understood, implemented and validated as agreed. Executes user acceptance and scenario testing of implemented features and user stories.
  • Supports the development manager to increase velocity by analyzing and enhancing processes and tools. Helps to remove roadblocks for velocity increase.
  • Leads the user acceptance test (UAT) and formal evaluation of implemented features with the technical product owner (TPO), to validate and verify the operational use of a developed minimum valuable product (MVP) is matching customer expectations and ease-of-use.
  • Interacts with project owners/stakeholders and the development team, where required, to ensure a common understanding of requirements, expectations, activities, priorities and timeframes, tool landscapes and changes to these as they may occur.
  • Contributes to the creation, maintenance and review of product documentation including product and system requirements, user manuals, training material and release notes. Responsible to document the ‘Requirement and Change Management Plan’
  • Responsible for assisting in the resolution of risk, defects and issues.
  • Applies extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization.
  • Provides technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed for desired results from a relatively long-term perspective. May have responsibility for leading the work of a team.
  • Guides the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations may result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.
  • Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
  • Technical degree in a related field of study and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
