Job Description

Boeing North Charleston is currently seeking a Mid-Level Mobile Application Developer who is challenge driven and enjoys a fast-paced, exciting environment! At Boeing, software is an enabler to our mission to connect, protect, explore and inspire the world through aerospace innovation. This position will work in a Digital Transformation Environment (DTE) as part of a dynamic team developing Mobility solutions to improve efficiencies on the factory floor.  The Developer works directly on the factory floor and is one of very few teams that have the ability to work with factory automation! This team’s programmers work in a DTE Pairing environment, and utilizes DTE concepts and principals.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Designs and develops software solutions to meet end user's requirements
  • Ensures that application integrates with overall system architecture, utilizing standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools
  • Develops algorithms, data and process models
  • Plans interfaces and writes interface control documents for use in construction of solutions of moderate complexity
  • Develops and executes systems, integration, performance and acceptance test plans and procedures to verify that the solution meets the requirements.
  • Analyzes, identifies and dispositions defects as required
  • Proposes recommendations to address discrepancies and issues in moderately complex systems
  • Develops and executes the implementation plan.
  • Modifies or upgrades software solutions to maintain software functionality
  • Determines changes to the infrastructure based on regulatory environment, defect resolution, new requirements and/or upgrades
  • Analyzes user issues and requests in assigned areas of responsibility by documenting, validating, researching potential solutions and resolving service requests for resolution of moderately complex issues
  • Assists less experienced team members with problem resolution

Typical Education / Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
