Job Description

Supplier Management (SM), within the Boeing Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) organization has an exciting new opportunity for a Procurement Agent to join our team. This is a position located in North Charleston, South Carolina with a focus on construction and facilities services type contracts.


This team is responsible for the procurement and contract management of all non productions goods and services across Boeing’s global enterprise and is critical to enabling company operations. This role will focus on procurement and negotiation strategy development. You will develop and inform contract negotiation strategies based on review of supplier financial statements. You will assess the overall supplier company health, performance and ability to deliver products and services.

The other primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Integrating program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.
  • Negotiating pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Preparing and executing negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Conducting risk, issues and opportunities management.
  • Managing supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Initiating and executing supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • A Bachelor's degree is required (strongly preferring a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Law, Accounting, or Finance).
  • More than 1 year of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain or Procurement practices and processes
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience working with customers.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements.
  • Experience in a self-directed role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.


The candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, written and verbal communication skills as well as adept problem solving ability. Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required. The ability to identify and integrate leveraging and/or improvement opportunities in to contracting strategies is critical.
