Job Description

Supplier Management (SM), within the Boeing Supply Chain & Operations (SC&O) organization, has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Procurement Agent to join our team.

 

This is a level 4 position located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role will have a focus on procurement activities related to complex facilities services.  

 

This team is responsible for the procurement and contract management of all non-production goods and services across Boeing’s global enterprise and is critical to enabling company operations. This role will focus on procurement and negotiation strategy development. You will develop and inform contract negotiation strategies based on review of supplier financial statements. You will assess the overall supplier company health, performance and ability to deliver products and services. The Senior Procurement Agent will execute and manage strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives for complex, high value equipment and services which are critical for enabling production operations.

Primary Responsibilities will also include:

  • Providing oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
  • Leading negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
  • Preparing and executing negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
  • Interpreting and enforcing contract terms and conditions.
  • Consulting with external and internal customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
  • Leading supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
  • Participating on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required)

  • A Bachelor's degree is required (strongly preferring a degree in Supply Chain, Business, Law, Accounting, or Finance)
  • Experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain or Procurement practices and processes
  • More than 5 years of experience in proposal development with suppliers (to include contract negotiation and strategic application of terms and conditions)
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with customers

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than 3 years of experience developing and implementing process and/or strategy improvements
  • Experience in Facilities Project Management or Construction Management
  • Experience with facilities contract management

The successful candidate will have experience in procurement, supply chain and/or strategic sourcing. The candidate must possess business acumen, written and verbal communication skills, and problem solving skills. This role also requires experience in a leadership role, the ability to build positive working relationships, and the ability to work in a matrix organization with people at all levels.
