An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing UK Vertical Lift Support team for a Supply Chain Specialist – RAF Odiham Supply Chain Focal. Supporting the Through Life Contract Support contract (TLCS-2) delivering maintenance best practice in support of CH-47 Chinook Helicopter to our UK customer.
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support and management of a distinct area of responsibility within the Asset Management team based out of RAF Odiham. Focused on governance of material requirements and resolution through serviceable and unserviceable methods. Empowered to co-ordinate and resolve Boeing and MOD system governance whilst validating issues in support of material requirements received through customer and supplier key systems, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to prioritise and complete critical activities. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, adopt an agile thought process with the ability to solve complex problems alongside a number of functions to develop, form and sustain the strategic supply chain approach for Through Life Contract Support Programme.
The activity of this role includes:
- To provide the effective Inventory Management of a set commodity work queue within Supply Chain - Asset Management.
- Monitor contract and individual performance whilst sustaining an appropriate level of support for an assigned list of parts.
- Correlation of customer data to deliver priority requirements on a daily basis to the wider BDUK SC teams.
- Previous experience of working within the MOD Supply Chain or Defense contracts is preferred but no essential.
- The ability to exercise leadership and display direction to the internal and external stakeholders to execute Boeing best business practice and first time quality.
- Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities that contribute to efficiency savings and benefits for the TLCS-2 Programme.
- Work in alignment with contractual KPIs supporting key supplier activities, developing best practice to support effective contractual execution.
- Ability to interrogate multiple systems and compare data to draw accurate conclusions based on data reviews.
- The ability to understand and map Root Causes with an intent to not only draw conclusion but act on corrective action.
- Experience of MS Software, ERP systems.
- Effective interpersonal & communication skills, stakeholder management being a priority when working in support of the front line customer.
Additional Job Description
- Hybrid working in effect, position requires ideally 3 day minimum located at RAF Odiham
- Proficiency, diligence and attention to detail with analytical processes across multiple platforms – BDUK, MS Suit, Supplier systems.
- Previous experience of working within the MOD Supply Chain – Preferred but no essential
UK MOD Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain) is essential.
Relocation is not available with this role.
