Job Description

Seeking a Ground Systems Instructor / Scenario Developer to support OKC Training Services

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Conducts analyses to evaluate customer technical training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design.
Develops, conducts and evaluates effectiveness of technical training.
Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.
Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities.

The AWACS Training Services Team requires an AWACS Ground Systems Instructor with knowledge of the MCTS Training System that can accomplish the following tasks:
• Develops, conducts and evaluates effectiveness of technical training. Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials.
• Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities. Performs complete task analysis, media/method analysis, fidelity analysis, and learning analysis. Assists higher level employees with needs analysis.
• Gathers data to support complete proposal development activities.
• Develops and documents complete training objectives (e.g., enabling,
• supporting, terminal, learning) based on analysis of customer requirements and technical resource data to design complete training course material.
• Complies with commercial, government, regulatory, and organizational standards and specifications (e.g., ATA104, export control, ISO, ADL/SCORM, releasability) during development of complete courseware.
• Uses specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, and develop new and complete media and materials.
• Gathers, examines, and interprets complete technical data by reviewing resource data (e.g., publications, engineering documents, drawings, logistics database) to determine the content of training course material.
• Independently assembles and conducts complete customer training in broad subject areas using the appropriate medium (e.g., CD ROM, classroom, device, Web) to satisfy customer training requirements.
• Communicates complete customer training needs by partnering with other specialists (e.g., designers, developers, engineers, programmers, technical publications/LSA) to determine the content of training material at the system level.
• Develops complete training material (e.g., instructor led, presentation, web, computer-based training (CBT) instructor/student guides) based on technical data, design requirements, and objectives in order to deliver customer training/courseware. Conducts courseware reviews.
• Updates existing complete training material by incorporating technical and engineering changes and/or evaluations to maintain currency of course material.
• Evaluates complete customer training by observing, measuring, testing, reviewing, and analyzing training to ensure that learning objectives are met effectively.
• Observes and tracks student performance. Recommends improvements as necessary.

Qualifications

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED):
• AWACS Air Weapons System experience.
• At least 2 years AWACS Platform instruction experience.
• Strong ability to support a number of development activities concurrently.
• Working knowledge of the following: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel, Flash, Adobe Creative.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with Ground Training Systems such as the MCTS.
• AWACS aircraft experience with knowledge of Weapons team mission requirements (preferably as an AWO).
• A formal education in training, instructional systems design, training product design, multimedia production or related field is desirable.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to a wide range of audiences via visual and interactive instructional aids.
• Excellent development skills and attention to detail.
