Job Description

The Boeing Company is Seeking a Customer Support Engineer

 

Conducts research on simple technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer. Analyzes information to evaluate reported discrepancies. Provides assistance to system owner in researching event to determine safety implications, preparing analysis, recommendations and presentations to various safety processes, boards and forums. Prepares routine communications and presentation material for dissemination to internal and external customers on specific components/limited systems. Researches and develops engineering updates of less-complex technical in-service issues. Works under general supervision.

Qualifications

Typical/ Education

 

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

 

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

 

Some experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.

 

Desired Experience, Skills, and Qualifications

 

Experience gathering, preparing and analyzing technical data including engineering data, logistics support analysis, technical publications, support equipment, spares, provisioning, field services, or maintenance data to provide sustainment support to delivered products.
