The Boeing Company is seeking a broad range of experience levels for an International Government Head of State – Single Access Point(Associate, Mid-Level or Experienced Level) System Engineer who will provide engineering support across the Boeings International Government Head of State portfolio of aircraft. This position will be physically located in Oklahoma City, OK.

This is a hybrid position that may allow for some telecommuting.  The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.  These positions will also be eligible for the OKC 9x80 alternate work schedule.

Position Responsibilities:

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Serve as the single access point for technical product and solutions responding directly to international government aircraft owners and operators.
  • Researches, analyzes, and compiles technical and non-technical data of company products, system-level concepts and System Engineering Capability initiatives
  • Respond to Aircraft Technical Requests: You will be the go-to person for addressing technical inquiries related to the aircraft fleet. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing timely and accurate solutions to ensure the smooth operation of the aircraft.
  • Facilitate purchase requests and request for quotes for a wide variety of products ranging from individual piece parts to large modification efforts.
  • Perform Obsolescence Management: Monitor aircraft components and systems for potential obsolescence issues. Develop proactive strategies to address these challenges and maintain the fleet's long-term sustainability.
  • Interfaces with other members of the project or program teams, customers, and suppliers. Works under general supervision
  • Applies systems engineering processes, methodologies and tools to the design of basic system of systems, systems and new product development.

Security Clearance / Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

Systems Engineer Associate (Level 2)

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify basic lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Supports the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes

Systems Engineer Mid-Level (Level 3)

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

System Engineer Experienced (Level 4)

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  • Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  • Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):  

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • 2 or more years of experience in an engineering job classification

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):  

  • Active security clearance
  • 2+ years’ experience with Systems Engineering principles
  • Experience using CMPRo, REDARS, and basic Excel tools to help with metrics building and tracking
  • Experience with EVM
  • Experience with RIO management
  • Experience applying Systems Engineering principals and Systems Integration in the Aerospace industry
  • Systems thinker capable of making engineering proposals based on data analysis and forecasting wide reaching and longer-term impacts
  • Experience developing presentations and presenting to multiple levels of an organization

Typical Education/Experience:

Associate (Level 2)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Experienced (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Basic relocation is available for internal candidates, based on candidate eligibility.

Shift Type: Full-Time, First Shift

Summary pay range for Associate Level 2: 62,900-162,350

Summary pay range for Associate Level 3: 90,950-123,050

Summary pay range for Associate Level 4: 111,350-150,650

Additional Information:

Work Schedule: Oklahoma City has a 9/80 work schedule.   Every other Friday is an off day.
