The Boeing Company is seeking a Subject Matter Expert Product Support Engineer to join our Boeing Global Services Commercial Derivative Service Engineering organization, which provides engineering support services to the Air Force for their C-32/C-40 aircraft. This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position is for Liaison Support Team which provides engineering support to the Air Force to help maintain and sustain their Boeing aircraft. The successful candidate will lead in resolving a wide range of technical and operational issues to ensure the continued safe operation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead activities to support customer requests for recurring and non-recurring tasks such as cost estimates, engineering studies, engineering data requests, and general inquiries.

• Research engineering technical data to ensure parts are approved for use on the aircraft and that documentation is available to support loading parts into logistics systems.

• Provide liaison support to investigate and resolve issues encountered by various organizations during modification and sustainment activities.

• Support Logistics and Supplier Management in procuring and repairing parts utilizing Sole Source Justifications, Technical Evaluations, Commercial Item Determinations, and Market Research.

• Develop and maintain processes to work and close engineering support requests from the customer.

• Perform engineering task project management.

This Hybrid position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience): 

• Bachelors degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• Experience gathering, preparing and analyzing technical data for the development of support products including logistics engineering, logistics support analysis, technical publications, support equipment, spares, provisioning, field services, maintenance, etc., supporting product lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications, and/or specifications

• 5+ years of experience do you have with supporting an Integrated Product Team in coordinating and resolving production technical issues

• Experience working directly with customers and multi-functional teams

Typical Education/Experience:

Bachelor's and 6 or more years' related work experience, Master's degree with 7 or more years' related work experience or PhD degree with 4 or more years’ related work experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $100,300 - 135,700
