Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization are seeking early career/junior Systems Engineers to join the Aircraft Modernization and Modifications (AMM) sub-division focused on providing our customers with new and enhanced capabilities to their existing fleets. These positions are based in Oklahoma City, OK.


Some of these fleets of aircraft are decades old. AMM designs system enhancements and added capabilities to keep these customer fleets relative in the current day environments they must operate in. The AMM Systems Engineering activities consist of overall Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, Functional Integration/Architecture, Certification, and System Testing / Verification / Validation. Supporting the various Programs within AMM, over multi-year Engineering and Logistics contracts that enable Government and Commercial customers to keep their aircraft fleets capable and relevant.


Position Responsibilities
 

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to assist with analyses, design, development and verification of a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
  • Assists with analyses to evaluates customer / operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
  • Assists with various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
  • Assists with analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years of engineering experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Experience with DOORS is a plus
  • Experience with SysML, OML, or Rational Rhapsody is a plus
  • Experience in System Engineering

Typical Education / Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

 

Relocation:
This position is located in the Oklahoma City, OK and relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates, if authorized. Applicants must reside in the area or be willing to relocate for this opportunity.
