Job Description

Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking Systems Engineering Managers (Level K) to oversee Bomber Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test within the Aircraft Modernization and Modification division. The positions available include Communications, Radar, Engine Replacement teams. These positions are located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The successful candidate will plan, organize, coordinate and manage all resources necessary to successfully execute the Systems Requirements and Verification aspects of a military platform. Emphasis is on software modification and sustainment of the platform through requirements development, design reviews, laboratory integration, data analysis, ground and flight testing.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct customer interaction;
  • Systems engineering execution for all contracted activities for the portfolio;
  • Strong leadership that attracts, develops, and retains the critical skills to execute the contract;
  • Cost and schedule performance to include strategic planning, customer rapport, teaming, staffing, and executing on all customer task orders and contract requirements with respect to the Systems Engineering discipline.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience working with Military or Aerospace customers.
  • Experience managing project cost, schedule, technical and operational objectives.
  • Minimum 4 years' Engineering leadership experience.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Best qualified candidates will typically possess 7 or more years' of applicable experience in systems engineering with emphasis on avionics and communication integration with Air Force Military platforms.
  • Working knowledge of US Air Force regulations relative to areas such as quality safety, and air worthiness.
  • Excellent communications skills (internal to the organization and external to the customer).


Typical Education / Experience:

Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree in engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.




Relocation is available for eligible candidates. Final eligibility will be determined by Boeing's Relocation Service Provider.
