Job Description
At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. From the seabed to outer space, you can contribute to work that matters with a company where diversity, equity and inclusion are shared values. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.
The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate Safety Specialist to join the 737 Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team in either Seattle, WA or Renton, WA.
The 737 EHS team is looking for an experienced health and safety professional to support various teams at the various Puget Sound sites. As part of the EHS team you will support health and safety initiatives, projects and compliance and provide mentorship and cultural influence through the safety team, leadership team and airplane program.
Boeing’s Renton site is home to the 737 MAX family of airplanes in addition to the 737-derived P-8 Poseidon. With more than 11,000 737s delivered to customers across the globe since 1967, Guinness World Records acknowledges the airplane as the “most-produced commercial jet” in aviation history. Today, there are on average around 2,800 737 airplanes in the air at any given time, with one 737 taking off or landing every 2 seconds.
Since its doors first opened in 1942, the Renton site has been home to dozens of groundbreaking airplane programs, both commercial and defense, that have crafted the history of Boeing and the aerospace industry. This includes the B-29 Superfortress and the monumental ‘Dash 80’ (367-80) which led to the 707 -- the world’s first successful commercial jet. The Renton site currently leads the industry as the most efficient airplane factory in the world, with its two main factories amounting to more than two million square feet.
