The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Safety Specialist with strong experience in the use of BowTie Risk Analysis and Risk Management to join the Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Enterprise Workplace Safety Deployment team. The home office for the Workplace Safety Deployment team is located in Renton, WA, candidates may work from Arlington, VA; Auburn, WA; Bellevue, WA; Berkeley, MO; Chicago, IL; Colorado Springs, CO; Dallas, TX; El Segundo, CA; Everett, WA; Herndon, VA; Huntington Beach, CA; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Oklahoma City, OK; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA; San Antonio, TX; or Titusville, FL.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plans, implements and assesses occupational health and safety programs and processes to maintain a safe and balanced work environment

• Develops and leads training and instructions

• Interprets and advises on the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations

• Evaluates and provides selection advice on existing or emergent risk management control technologies

• Leads audits, inspections and investigations and coordinates resolution of issues

• Develops corrective action plan to respond to internal/external audits and inspections

• Works with management to facilitate risk management decisions

• Analyzes emerging technology for the identification of potential hazards and control methods

• Be responsible for the development and implementation of BowTie Risk Analysis across EHS

• Support Site EHS functions as a BowTie Risk Analysis Subject Matter Authority and facilitator

• Support transformation of EHS Risk Management strategies

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelors degree or higher

• 3+ years of experience in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)

• 1+ years of experience with BowTie Risk Analysis

• Travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $117,000 - $130,000
