Boeing Commercial Airplanes is looking for a Senior Software Systems and Application Developer in the Airplane Level and Engineering Integration (ALEI) organization within BCA Engineering. The position will be based in Renton or Everett, WA.
This position is part of the airplane level engineering integration team and has the primary role of improving engineering functions across all value steams and product lifecycles. The team will be developing stand-alone and web-based applications with a focus on integrating between applications and the processes and functions that exchange data between applications. The position will require good creativity and continuous learning of new technologies and development methods. There will be considerable interface and collaboration with the software team across the enterprise.
The successful candidate will have experience managing and developing in database formats including MS SQL and NoSQL. Specific experience in user interface development for a variety of use scenarios, devices, and platforms including analytics and user feedback and application interface improvement are preferred. Experience with cloud services such as PAS, SAS, and AAS for data storage and data processing are preferred. In addition, strong collaborative and customer interaction skills as well as project leadership skills are important for the successful candidate.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Everett or Renton, WA.
Oversees and leads the development, analysis, management and compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products.
Leads the definition and planning of comprehensive sets of product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products.
Leads the analysis of complex product trades and/or changes and the development of change proposals.
Leads the implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools.
Leads and directs the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
Assures the integration of product elements; analyzes and resolves complex issues with engineering product structure.
Leads and directs the development, integration and implementation of engineering technical program plans.
Works under minimal direction.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience managing and developing in database formats including MS SQL and NoSQL
Specific experience in user interface development for a variety of use scenarios, devices, and platforms including analytics and user feedback and application interface improvement
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with cloud services such as PAS, SAS, and AAS for data storage and data processing are preferred.
Bachelor's degree and typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 7 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 4 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
