Boeing Vancouver is seeking a Financial Analyst reporting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and working out of Richmond, British Columbia. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for cost & budget management and project accounting for our local Vancouver area offices, as well as financial operations activities as part of a team responsible for a group of profit centres in Boeing’s Digital and Analytics Solutions’ product portfolios.

Work with the CFO, finance staff and local business partners to develop and maintain the annual budget model, produce monthly performance reports and update forecasts
Act as the key liaison between business partners and accounting to ensure accuracy and reconciliation of project billing, rates, costing, resources and funding
Produce various routine financial and operations reports and ad-hoc analysis and routinely present findings to management
Work as part of a team of experienced Financial Analysts to execute financial operations processes and provide business partner support for a group of digital product portfolio profit centres
Collaborate to support and provide coverage for each other and progressively assume more senior financial analyst responsibilities
Contribute to the creation, maintenance and review of process documentation and training material
Develop subject matter expert in enterprise systems such as Oracle Financials, IBM Cognos TM1 and other internally developed applications
Identify and implement system and process improvement solutions
Expected to work independently with little guidance in a short-timeframe
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Minimum of 3 years related work experience as a Financial Analyst
Must have completed post-secondary education and have additional financial certification (professional accounting designation, MBA or similar)
Intermediate to advanced level Excel skills
Strong understanding of GAAP
Strong communication and analytical skills, both written and verbal, and are able to effectively communicate complex ideas in a succinct and comprehensible fashion to both financial and non-financial audiences - Ability to succinctly tell the story behind the numbers.
Must be legally able to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Accounting experience is preferred
Experience leading presentations using PowerPoint
Experience working with ERP/Cube based software (Oracle Financials, IBM Cognos)
Experience in a Software company
Experience managing or executing projects
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
