Job Description

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a highly-motivated Entry-Level Quality Engineer (Level 1) to join Vertical Lift Integrated Quality team located in Ridley Park, PA.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Your duties as an engineer will include (but are not limited to):

  • Assists in testing of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems.
  • Compiles performance reports and process control statistics to determine and improve process capability or product quality.
  • Assists with root cause analyses.
  • Supports the implementation of corrective actions necessary to reduce or eliminate non-conformance to design specifications.
  • Uses basic statistical methodologies to ensure specified levels of process capability are achieved, maintained or improved.
  • Participates in the review of designs for manufacturability, producibility, testability and inspectability.
  • Researches and analyzes methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices.
  • Researches methods for verification of product and process quality.
  • Compiles data for manufacturing processes and tooling.
  • Compiles customer and regulatory agency non-conformance data.
  • Develops sections of Quality plans, under the guidance and direction of higher level Quality professionals.
  • Performs research on program Quality requirements and metrics.
  • Assists in data preparation and collection for process capability studies.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Experience with the following Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Coursework and/or work experience implementing Project Management concepts and or tools
  • Education and/or experience do you have with data analysis

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree preferred

  • Experience in an ISO or AS9100 regulated Aerospace or other Manufacturing environment

  • Lean or continuous improvement experience

  •  

Work Authorization:

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

 

 

Typical Education / Experience:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

 

Relocation:

This position is located in Ridley Park, PA and does not offer relocation assistance. Applicants must reside in area or be willing to relocate at their own expense.
