Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a Senior Computing Architect (Level 4) to join the Boeing Global Services Mission Accelerator program in Ridley Park, PA, Saint Louis, MO, Plano, TX, or Seattle, WA. Boeing Global Services Mission Accelerator program seeks to transform weapon system sustainment support through the application of innovative, industry-leading digital and analytic solutions and services. The program focuses on leveraging data to inform and improve the full lifecycle of sustainment and ultimately improve mission availability and drive down lifecycle sustainment costs. Enabling a paradigm shift to more predictable, affordable, and ready weapon systems for our customers.
As a Mission Accelerator Computing Architect, candidates will lead digital and analytic solution design and delivery for a global customer base, ensuring that solutions deliver on business needs and drive key customer outcomes.
This role requires a resourceful, self-driven, outcome-oriented individual with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to partner, execute, communicate skillfully, and lead through influence and collaboration across the company while exercising mature judgment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with a wide range of technologies, software development, solution architecture, requirements management, and business acumen with exemplary senior-level advising, and interdepartmental collaboration.
Position Responsibilities:
Reviews business context for solutions to company challenges as well as defining the vision and requirements for digital and analytics solutions, recommending potential options, (which may include RFIs, RFPs or prototype development), selecting the most optimal option, and the development of a roadmap, schedules, and estimates for the selected solution
Delivers modern technical visualizations of proposed solutions for approval by customer and execution by engineering teams. Develops architecture, networking, data, and system functional diagrams
Work closely with product and delivery teams to ensure smooth deployment of solutions and services
Communicates the architecture to the stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain experts
Champions a structured approach to solution design, architecture, and development. Assures solutions not only are a fit for the specific purpose but also closely align with the standards guidelines of technology solutions
Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers. Informing various stakeholders of plans, estimates, progress, risks, and opportunities
Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have. Directs the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership
Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed
Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems
Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with best practices
Ensure efficient functioning of data storage and process functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security
Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements
Interact with clients & product owners, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Proven work experience as a Cloud/DevSecOps Architect or similar role
Experience with data and service management
Extensive experience Kubernetes and container
Excellent collaboration skills teaming with clients, product managers, developers, and fellow designers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
AWS, or GCP, or Azure certifications
Experience with various software designs, languages, and architecture
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:

Summary pay range: $120,700 – $174,800
