The Boeing Company is looking for a Systems Engineering Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Technician (Mid-Level, Lead, Senior) on the Chinook Helicopter Reliability and Maintainability Team to join our team in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania.
A successful candidate will apply their advanced computing skills and gained aircraft systems knowledge within a field data rich environment. They will play a key role in advancing the Chinook R&M Team’s journey in leveraging and advancing data analytic techniques to gain valuable insights about aircraft reliability and maintainability field performance.
Position Responsibilities:
Data Architecture
Supports collection (management of data feeds), organization, integrity validation, and transfers (between servers, databases, and tools) of H-47 (Chinook helicopter) and other aircraft program maintenance and related data (ex: field maintenance records)
Data Analysis
Performs detailed reviews of aircraft system field maintenance and other relevant data
Performs trend and statistical analysis on the data to assess performance and support quality, reliability, readiness improvement objectives. Utilizes advanced data analytics mining and analysis techniques and tools to determine quantitative reliability and maintainability performance characteristics of equipment to support these objectives.
Provides innovative contributions in an advanced computing environment that will advance and grow the application of these data analytics tools and processes
Core R&M Work Products
Supports the development of reliability and maintainability predictions and analyses, failure modes and effects analysis (FMECA), failure analysis and corrective action activities, level of repair analysis (LORA), reliability centered maintenance analysis (RCMA), fault prediction/detection/isolation analysis, cost analysis, and trade studies
Ability to independently plan and manage assignments, achieve desired outcomes, on-time and within budget
Ability to understand and apply basic reliability and maintainability job practices, techniques, standards, and concepts
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
Experience with programming languages, tools, and applications
1+ years’ experience creating complex spreadsheets (e.g. creating Pivot tables in Excel) and creating data base program applications (e.g. Access applications)
1+ years’ working on data collection and data analytics products
1+ years’ experience with statistical analysis as well as data analytics techniques for large data set
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Programming experience in Python and/or R
DBA experience in SQL for Oracle
Experience in Machine Learning/AI technologies
Solid knowledge of Statistics theory and concepts
Knowledge of fixed or rotary wing aircraft systems (functions and operation)
Typical Education and Experience:
Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).
Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+4 years' related work experience, 8 years' related work experience, etc.).
Level 5: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+7 years' related work experience, 11 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range for Ridley Park, Pennsylvania:
Level 3: $65,450 - $88,550
Level 4: $78,200 - $105,800
Level 5: $91,800 - $124,200
