We are continuously growing our Boeing Engineering Center in Poland, building engineering teams to work across all of our commercial products and services. Boeing Engineering Center is currently seeking an Engineering Team Lead for Stress Structures team in Gdansk, Poland.

Profile Description:

  • Good knowledge of business and organization operations.

  • High experience to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings, develop conclusions.

  • Deep knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/fields (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics); knowledge of the interaction between departments/disciplines.

Position Requirements:

  • Hands on with commercial aircraft structure, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes.

  • Strong ability to analyze problems (fixing, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.).

  • Proficiency in computer aided design tools and systems (CAD/CAM, CATIA, Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics), strong ability to manipulate data sets (e.g. compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files)

  • Deep knowledge of engineering analysis (e.g. mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability)

  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, apply and develop engineering data – drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design) and engineering technical information (handbooks, industry standards, specifications etc.)

  • Strong ability to resolve, apply, and perform arithmetic operations in order to solve sophisticated math problems. This includes the ability to extract relevant information from tables, charts, graphs, text, spot relevant trends in data, and create and document models that can be used by others

  • Experience with structural repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques), knowledge of structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composites

  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems, the ability to connect with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other work.

  • Boeing design, production, and build processes, design concepts and techniques (concurrent engineering, DFM/A).

  • Ability to evaluate sophisticated vehicles and systems from a multitude of perspectives.

  • Assembly and production processes, manufacturing capabilities and data needed for defining delivery configurations.

Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master +3 years related work experience).
