Job Description
The Boeing AvionX hardware development team is seeking entry level Electronic Design & Analysis Engineers in St. Charles/St. Louis.  As a member of Boeing AvionX you will be developing key electronic systems for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions.
 
The position requires strong analytical, written and verbal skills and the ability to interface with other business and engineering organizations.  Candidates must have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.  Additionally, they must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers while discussing technical information.
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the developing / analyzing electronic and electrical system requirements
  • Designing avionics hardware and/or firmware
  • Designing circuit board level test equipment for engineering and lab use
  • Coordinating with suppliers and customers
  • Performing system requirements verification testing
  • Resolving product integration issues and production anomalies
  • Researching basic technologies for potential application to company business needs

Qualifications
 
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • Experience with electronic circuit design and basic laboratory equipment is required
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering with relevant electrical engineering experience or coursework
  • A 3.0 or greater cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale
  • Familiarity with Circuit Card, FPGA logic, and infrastructure software design processes is desired
  • Familiarity with the following design tools would be helpful: Mentor Expedition xDX, Mentor Modelsim, PSpice, Xilinx Vivado, Microsemi Libero, and LabVIEW is desired
Typical Educational/Experience:
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
