The Phantom Works Advanced Weapons Mission Systems (MS) Capability Team seeks a Senior Electronics & Electrical Engineer to design and integrate avionics into future advanced weapon systems. The mission avionics will perform the guidance, navigation, and control functions of the vehicle, as well as handle all communication and data storage for all avionics components. The avionics will collaborate with the host aircraft and components including: an IMU, Seeker/Sensor, GPS Receiver, Control Actuation System, Power Controller, Datalink Radio, and more.

Position Responsibilities:
The position is in a fast paced, innovative environment that necessitates excellent technical and organizational leadership, professional written and spoken communication, and active listening. You will interact with subject matter experts, customers, and industry partners in a multi-engineering environment and manage suppliers.
- Develop and validate requirements for complex sensor systems and components.
- Develop architectures to integrate complex systems and components into higher-level systems and platforms.
- Perform complicated trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.
- Define and conduct critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.
- Manage appropriate aspects of critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.
- Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.
- Support project management by providing coordinating development of work statement, budget, schedule, and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.
- Proposal writing: Generate major sections of proposals to support development of new business.
This position is expected to be fully onsite in Saint Charles, MO.
Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; domestically depending on business needs.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, electrical/electronics, aerospace, computer science, mathematics, or physics.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Experience leading mission systems development and integration.
- Radar experience.
- Experience with Radio Frequency (RF) systems or coursework in RF theory.
- Supplier management experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Weapon, autonomous system, and or aircraft sensor development and integration experience.
- Experience supporting major program milestone reviews and proposal (RFP, RFQ) efforts.
- Experience developing system requirement verification plans, functional decomposition and allocation, and ICDs.
- Experience involving Model Based Engineering approaches, methods, and techniques
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range:119,850 – 162,150
