Job Description

The Boeing Defense, Space (BDS), Security Vehicle Management System (VMS) and Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) teams are seeking motivated Software Technical Specialist to perform activities on a wide range of programs in located in St. Louis and St. Charles, Missouri.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Flight software development support, software configuration management, software process implementation and documentation
  • Simulation and computer system SW / HW upgrades, loading and maintenance, software metrics gathering and analysis
  • Software schedule development and progress tracking, database web page and shared data maintenance and other software related tasks
  • Support for software testing and generation of software products (e.g. software builds, requirement specifications, test reports, design documents)
  • Works under general direction

Qualifications
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance post start
 
Desired Qualifications/Experience: 
  • Current Secret level or higher clearance highly desirable
  • Experience with software development and test practices and systems highly desirable
  • Experience with Windows based systems highly desirable
  • Experience with configuration management practices desirable
  • Experience with real time software applications, simulations and analysis tools desirable
     

Typical Education/Experience:

  • AA degree in related discipline and typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
