Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.
The person chosen to fill this position will form part of an MRO modification, servicing and repair organization, leading a team within the Hangar issue center. Candidate will be responsible for the full control and issues of tooling and stores from the sub-store. Conversant with MAA procedures and aware of MAM-P processes in regards to tool control. Candidate must have knowledge of general aircraft maintenance and an aviation environment (FOD control, tool control, health & safety & COSHH). Candidate will be responsible to ensure established process adherence, and contractual/regulatory compliance. Tasks will include but not limited to; Tool Control and Calibration, POL management, tool loan requests & tooling inventory checks, Management of consumable stock levels. Candidate must be able to work under minimal supervision with limited direction.
Providing leadership, management, assurance and oversight of the Tool Issue Centre function
Receipt, issue, control, accounting and replacement of tooling and Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) provided and maintained as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
Accounting and control of other Government Furnished Assets (GFX).
Assembly, issue, receipt and accounting for of any tool packs/kits required for remote use.
Control of the calibration of GFE tooling and S&TE.
Planning, control and management of any GFE
Leadership, mentoring and training of Tool Issue Centre staff.
Familiarity with Boeing tool management and control systems (e.g. CribMaster)
A proven ability to account for, track and control individual items.
The post requires in order to ensure other teams can access the equipment they need and to interact with a wide range of customer and Boeing personnel daily.
Full UK driving license
The ability to gain SC Clearance is essential
Experience in a UK military environment
Forklift License is desirable
