Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking Fabrication Specialist (Level B) to support the Metal Assembly Team in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Reading & interpreting blueprints, standard work instructions and production orders is required to perform assembly of aluminum structure components using various hand and machine tools such as: drill motors, Winslow motors, power feed motors, calipers, swaging tools countersink tools and other hand tools. Additional tasks include: installation of nut plates, nut clips, grommets, seals electrical bonds and precision hole drilling to install fasteners to build aluminum structures.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Ability to work any shift/weekends/nights/overtime as business conditions dictate.
- Minimum 6 months of either schooling or previous experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in a team environment.
- Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience.
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 6 months or more related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
