Job Description

Boeing is seeking a Program Management Specialist (level 6) to:

  • Build intimate customer relationships and provide world-class support to the United States Air Force, Air Force Reserve Command, Air National Guard, and International C-17 customers.
  • Provide timely and useful information to senior Boeing Management on issues developing with the customer, and provide the customer rapid and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Communicate business vision, strategies, program and project status, conduct and participate in leadership meetings, provide presentations and listen to customer concerns and suggestions.
  • Assist in developing C-17 organizational, business and technical strategies, goals and objectives and ensure they align with the customer's "capabilities" organization.

The selected candidate will advocate for Boeing C-17 improvement programs to the customer as well as listen very carefully to what the customer's wants and needs are to communicate those back to Boeing leadership, engineering and IPTs. Work independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with individual programs that the customer uses.
Responsible for developing, coordinating and executing site activation activities for the standup of new C-17 bases. Candidate will assemble a Boeing team of experts and attend each base's Site Activation Task Force Meeting at each standup site location.

Coordinate very closely with USAF leadership at each standup location to assess all C-17 bed-down requirements such as: supply, support equipment, personnel requirements, construction of hangars, support building, aircraft parking ramps, supply warehousing, office requirements and support for the Boeing team, and literally every aspect of standing up C-17 operations at a new base.

Qualifications

Typical education & experience for this level (6): Technical bachelor's degree and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 18 or more years' or a PhD degree with typically 15 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Experience business and technical strategies
  • Experience developing and executing site activation activities
  • Experience working with military platforms
