Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a First Line Level Industrial Engineering Manager to support the Executive Fleet Program in San Antonio, TX.

• A top candidate for this position will have strong technical, people and organizational background with a proven history of leadership.
• Applies leadership skills to manage employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.
• Develops operational plans aligned to department's objectives to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.
• Monitors appropriate metrics and reviews execution, makes appropriate adjustments, and resolves issues to ensure performance to plan.
• Forecasts resource needs and obtains and manages personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools to meet project and daily operating requirements.
• Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to motivate and enhance employee performance and expand capabilities.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports and works in collaboration with other leaders.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

This position will requires the ability to obtain a security clearance with a favorable Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or T5 Investigation and customer approval as a condition of employment.

• 3+ years of experience effectively leading engineering projects and inspiring people to complete tasks on schedule and within budget.
• 5+ years’ experience with aircraft modifications/structure repair or aircraft production, factory floor environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, occasional weekends and holidays when necessary to support program needs.

• Strong technical, people and organizational background with a proven history of leadership.  
• Travel 25%-50% for approximately 1 year.
• Advanced computer skills with proficiency in MS Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

• Experience establishing partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports and conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of workgroup, project or process goals.
• Experience in identifying opportunities to improve work-related products and processes within own workgroup, project or process and engaging and empowering employees to make process improvements.

• Leadership/Management experience.
• Industrial Engineering Experience.

Bachelors Degree required.
