Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) E4B program has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, versatile, and highly collaborative Operations Leader (Level M) to join our team based in San Antonio, TX.

The role is responsible for leading the planning, execution and completion of the E4B Planned Depot Maintenance activities. The leader will oversee a team of approximately 125 people including senior managers, managers, technicians, and individual contributors. Close collaboration and coordination with.  Support and Program teams is required to ensure Program success. Leadership experience with large aircraft heavy maintenance, modification and support is required. Previous Leadership experience in one or more support, Program, or Engineering positions is preferred.

A successful manager in this role will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes safety, quality, accountability, trust, and teamwork.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start isrequired.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 6+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
  • 1+ year of experience in the field of lean manufacturing
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace.
  • 5+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership.
  • Experience working with U.S. Government customers
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance and Modification processes
  • Ability to lead teams at remote sites.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Has a high focus on collaboration among cross-functional teams at every level.
  • Demonstrates an innovative approach to solving problems.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $153,850 - $208,150
