Boeing, the world's leading aerospace company, is looking for an Experienced Paralegal to join the Law Department (Boeing Intellectual Property) in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; or Seal Beach, CA. This position will support the Boeing Research and Technology teams.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide legal support under the guidance of Boeing Intellectual Property (IP) counsel within a highly matrixed organization
Act as first point of contact to assist with legal issues arising in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of agreements and contracts (e.g., non-disclosure, procurement, collaboration, software and data licenses, government contracts), especially in relation to intellectual property and risk of liability
Providing initial review of non-disclosure agreements by supporting contract administrators in reviewing non-standard language
Providing initial review of counter-party edits of procurement related contracts
Coordinate and assist with the preparation of risk analysis memoranda in accordance with corporate policies
Conduct preliminary investigations in furtherance of enterprise-wide protection and management of intellectual property (e.g., open source software due diligence, proper handling of information owned by others)
Develop comprehensive understanding of business to assist attorneys with a wide variety of legal issues, including proposal of possible solutions and courses of action as appropriate; triage of client needs via client phone calls and visits; supporting attorney work product via word processing, preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and project-status reporting (Excel, Passport, other applications); and organizing, tracking, and maintaining of files with attention to sensitive information
Provide training to internal clients on forms and procedures
Recommend and, as appropriate, implement process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency
Perform legal, legislative, and factual research using specialized software (e.g., Lexis/Nexis, CourtLink, WestLaw), the Internet, the Boeing Intranet, and other applications, and drafting research results in memorandum format for attorney review as requested
Mentor and train junior paralegals
Must have effective oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and in groups across a geographically diverse enterprise. A positive, constructive attitude is a requirement
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. Minimum of 3 days onsite.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with reviewing and revising contracts such as software licenses, supply agreements, services agreements, non-disclosure agreements or memorandum of understanding
5+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate in-house counsel setting
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Paralegal Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree or higher
General contracts experience a plus
Typical Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years’ related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:

Summary pay range: $89,250-$128,800
