The Sub-Components and New Product Development Supplier Management team supporting Specialty Products under Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a highly motivated Supplier Program Management  (Associate, Lead, Senior)) (Level 3 / Level 4 / Level 5) to join the team in Seattle, Washington or Long Beach, California.

The SPM is expected to effectively lead, manage and contribute to multiple supplier programs concurrently throughout the project/program lifecycle, from supplier evaluation to product delivery, team with integrated product team (IPT) stakeholders from various disciplines and functions – both technical and non-technical and own reporting to Leadership. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated competency and experience in production/manufacturing environments as well as supplier/customer support. The SPM would be responsible to lead and oversee sourcing strategies and performance reviews of domestic and international manufacturing partners.

Sub-Components is a unique engineering and supply chain capability within Boeing with an enterprise mandate to bring Intellectual Property (IP) ownership back inside the company as build-to-print (BTP) designs that can be cost effectively produced and delivered to production and aftermarket customers. New Product Development is a unique program within Boeing with a mission to bring innovative products to market and create value for our customers. This strategic investment increases Boeing proprietary content on commercial & defense platforms and generates sustaining services revenue for the company. With high expectations for growth and long-term development commitments to BGS, BCA and BDS, Sub-Components is a dynamic growth opportunity for motivated SPMs looking to contribute at scale.

Position Responsibilities

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provides technical and business guidance to critical suppliers and programs.

  • Leads strategic supply chain activities to manage work with suppliers and programs.

  • Manages all aspects of supplier and stakeholder relationships and performance throughout all contract phases.

  • Leads supplier assessments and the development of recovery plans, corrective and preventative actions.

  • Leads the development of company or business unit procurement strategies.

  • Provides oversight, guidance and verification of work movement projects.

  • Communicates supplier and organization performance plans risks, issues and opportunities to stakeholders.

  • Manages work movement plans.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.  This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.

  • 3+ or more years of experience working supplier management related activity.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.

  • 5+ or more years of experience working supplier management related activity.

  • 10+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.

  • 10+ or more years of experience working supplier management related activity.

  • Experience working on airplane programs or supporting the production system.

  • Experience leading major supplier activity such as on-site assessments, recovery, corrective and preventative action plans, and/or new supplier onboarding.

  • Experience working on development programs.

Typical Education & Experience (Associate):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

Typical Education & Experience (Lead):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

Typical Education & Experience (Senior):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range (Associate): $98,600 -  $133,400

Summary pay range (Lead): $118,150 - $159,850

Summary pay range (Senior): $137,700 - $186,300
