The Boeing Company is looking for Test and Evaluation Engineers to join our team in Seattle, WA.

The complexity of our engineering architecture and program management system requires employees willing to be creative, drive new methods and take on significant responsibilities.  If you are intrigued by the opportunity to lead that evolution of our system while performing an engineering integration role, we need you. You will be part of a multi-functional team developing and integrating requirements, creating solutions, program plans and leading implementation. This role will also be part of the development and implementation of the Model Based System Engineering team that is leading the change on how we validate test requirements. You will be accountable to Value Stream Leaders and Test Program Managers and be viewed as a test program technical architect and integrator.

Minimal travel will be required.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Mid-Level or Senior Level Test and Evaluation Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Partners with program counterparts to co-lead the development of test requirements

• Leads Cost-Effective Verification and Validation methods

• Applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures

• Guides others in the design of test hardware, software and systems to achieve test requirements

• Oversees debriefing of the test team.

• Leads the analysis, processing and formatting of data to customer requirements

• Approves test data prior to delivery to customer

• Formulates expectations for test data based on historical data

• Trains others

• Works under minimal direction

Additional Position Responsibilities (Senior Level):

• Provides guidance on test program work to customers
• Lead execution of Test Program management standard processes
• Works multi-functionally to support BT&E Lab Test NW program/project plan and integrate with key partners.
• Develop Baselines and Lead Change to SOW, Requirements, Cost, Schedule, RIO, Parts Plan
• Lead development and approval of Estimates/Proposals
• Lead communications of plan and performance to plan across partner teams and up-and-out with partner leadership
• Facilitate battle-rhythm with execution teams to drive performance to plan
• Support and contribute to leadership strategy and business operations for Lab Test NW
• Is proactive, works under minimal direction and trains others

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

• 3+ years of experience working in an engineering environment

• 1+ years of experience managing projects schedules and managing programs and projects

• 1+ years of experience in system engineering (e.g. Systems, Design, Architecture, Integration, Requirements or Test)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Business insight and understanding

• Earned Value Management (EVM)

• Experience working through the life cycle of a product from concept to delivery

• Experience with airplanes, airplane parts/systems; one or more of the following - aerodynamics, structures, navigation, flight controls, engines, electrical power, cabin systems and interiors, hydraulics, fuels etc.

Typical Education/Experience: 

Mid-Level (Level 3)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior Level (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only.  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range Mid-Level: $96,900 – $131,100

Summary pay range Senior Level: $116,450 – $157,550
