Job Description

This position is a manufacturing engineer in support of the Manufacturing Division of Argon ST, Inc., a Wholly Owned Subsidiary of the Boeing Company.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of production and tooling methodologies.
  • Works with others to develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintenance of the program architecture for build.
  • Assists in implementing manufacturing plans.
  • Resolves technical problems and assists in the implementation of new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Assists in the implementation of Lean principles and technologies.
  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Interfaces with professional associations, suppliers, IPTs and internal customers to develop products, skills, knowledge and experience.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Conducts producible and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producible information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producible best practices.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems.

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience:
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications (Required)
•Assembly Process Experience
•Experience utilizing Computer Aided Design Tools
•Ability to obtain interim clearance post-start


Preferred:
•Experience implementing LEAN principles and technologies

•Experience working on estimates and proposals

•Experience with tooling design and builds
•Current US Secret Clearance


This position requires an active (or ability to obtain) U.S. Security Clearance, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
