Job Description

Boeing Defense Space and Security is seeking several Test and  Evaluation Lab Technicians to join our team. The work location for this level 3 position is Smithfield PA. In this role you will set up, configure and test  multi-rack signal-intelligence systems, troubleshoot and isolate system faults and execute formal customer sell off events.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies.
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities. Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown.
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems.
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs.
  • Coaches and trains others.
  • Works under general direction.

Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a US TS/SCI Security Clearance post hire. Current US TS/SCI Security Clearance preferred. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) measurements and testing.
  • Experience assembling, maintaining and repairing test equipment.
  • Experience writing, reviewing and updating test procedures.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, volt meters, spectrum, and network analyzers.
  • Experience with Fiber power meters or Optical time domain reflectometers or fiber optic cabling.
  • Experience operating and maintaining thermal chambers and vibration tables.
  • Experience with Ship Systems Equipment Systems.

Work shifts are variable and could include day/evening/night. Possible weekend work may be necessary.

Typical Education/Experience:
AA degree in related discipline and typically 3 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
