Job Description

Boeing Defense Space and Security is seeking several Test and  Evaluation Lab Technicians to join our team.  The work location for this level 4 position is Smithfield PA.   In this role you will set up, configure and test  multi-rack signal-intelligence systems, troubleshoot and isolate system faults and execute formal customer sell off events.


Responsibilities:

 

  • Plans, conducts and documents tests on products, systems, components, materials, and manufacturing processes and technologies.
  • Designs, fabricates, builds and analyzes test systems, materials, components, software and methodologies.
  • Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities. Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown.
  • Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves laboratory and test-related problems.
  • Coordinates test laboratory activities and maintenance and repairs.
  • Coaches and trains others.
  • Works under general direction.

Qualifications

Typical Education and Experience

AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Basic Qualifications (required)

•Experience with test equipment including oscilloscopes, volt meters, spectrum, and network analyzers
•Experience with RF (Radio Frequency) measurements and testing
•Experience assembling, maintaining and repairing test equipment
•Experience writing, reviewing and updating test procedures
•Current US Secret Security Clearance


Preferred

•Experience with Fiber power meters or Optical time domain reflectometers or fiber optic cabling.
•Experience operating and maintaining thermal chambers and vibration tables
•Experience with Ship Systems Equipment Systems



Work shifts are variable and could include day/evening/night. Possible weekend work may be necessary.


This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
