Job Description

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an experienced Interior Design & Space Planner 4 tasked with helping an organization resolve facility space planning issues.


• Initiates and leads forecasting efforts.
• Manages complex projects within schedule and budget.
• Anticipates milestones in pursuit of project goals. Integrates and presents proposals to stakeholders and sponsors. Communicates approved plan to implementation team.
• Prepares and maintains master site facility plans.
• Leads space management initiatives and contribute to systems implementation.
• Analyzes regional or site business scenarios and strategies to develop proposals and plans.
• Leads regional or company-wide studies in support of proposals and plans. Performs site analysis, evaluates site capabilities, manufacturing processes and technology forecasts and incorporates these into asset use strategies. Interacts with internal and external organizations, senior level management and government agencies to identify and assess impact to the business operating plan. Prepares business case analysis.
• Leads the creation of long- and short-range tactical plans.
• Acts as a company subject matter expert and external spokesperson on real estate project management assignments.
• Develops solutions to complex project development and land use planning issues using extensive research, feasibility modeling and value engineering.
• Advises management on issues pertaining to real estate land use plans and objectives.
• Contributes to the development of new real estate project management processes, concepts, practices and standards.
• Planner will conduct periodic building audits to ensure that layouts, employee work spaces and furniture location are correct, updating documents accordingly.
• Planner will be responsible for administrative tasks such as helping to coordinate department moves, planning meetings, and creating move-related work orders.
• Planner will be required to develop and maintain employee occupancy documents, continuously updating data such as number of employees, vacant work spaces and other pertinent facility information.
• Works with design team to develop design solutions.
• Researches concepts and materials to support design team on technical issues influencing concept development.
• Works closely with others design team members to plan room layout, to include furniture, equipment, telecommunications, or other pertinent needs.
• Selects furniture, materials, decor and finishes.
• Obtains current information for the utilization data and facilities inventory; enters new and revised information into computerized or automated system (ARCHIBUS).

This position requires an active US Current Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related discipline.
• 10 or more years' interior design experience.
• 10 or more years' experience with AutoCAD (proficiency required).
• NCIDQ accreditation required.
• Employees have direct contract, with and are embedded in, a U.S. Government facility and must have, or have the ability to obtain, a Top Secret / SCI with CI Poly U. S. Security Clearance.
• Candidates must have the requisite custodial skills. The U.S. Government customer expects these positions to be filled rapidly

• Experience with ARCHIBUS highly desired.

• Bachelor's degree and typically 10 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
