F-15 USAF Trainers, a team in Boeing Global Services’ Training and Professional Services’ Training Systems organization, is currently seeking a Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Lead located in St Louis Mo. The successful candidate will focus on the training of F-15C and F-15E aircrew in a complex fully-networked environment of highly realistic training systems that simulate United States Air Force fighter aircraft, surveillance aircraft, and command and control systems. This candidate will be the focal for defining and executing DMO required updates and upgrades to the sophisticated set of devices needed to control F-15 training systems and monitor student performance in highly realistic simulators and environments.
In this position the candidate will work with the DMO community, F-15 USAF Trainers customer, product leadership, and chief engineer to identify emerging requirements, assist with translating these requirements into Statements of Work and Specifications for proposals, assist engineering teams in establishing Earned Value Measurement (EVM) baselines for contracted work, communicate and interpret technical requirements for impacted engineering teams, lead integrated engineering team execution, communicate execution status to F-15 USAF Trainers leadership and the customer, and assess the impact of proposed technical and schedule changes.
Due to the technical complexity of these trainer systems, either a bachelor’s degree in the physical sciences, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or chemistry or an advanced educational degree with commensurate experience in a related technology such as Information Technology or Networks is required. Practical experience developing specifications, statements of work, and proposal estimates is required. Experience leading multi-disciplined technical teams is required. Experience with trainers and training systems is a differentiator. Knowledge of DMO standards as well as fighter aircraft and aircraft systems is highly desired, but not required. Experience with EVM is a plus.
This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering teams. Past experience working directly with customers to develop requirements and to communicate execution performance is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplined technical teams
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple engineering teams
- Past experience working directly with customers to develop requirements and to communicate execution performance
- Bachelor’s degree in the physical sciences, engineering, computer science, mathematics, or chemistry or an advanced educational degree with commensurate experience in a related technology such as Information Technology or Networks is required
- This position requires an active Secret U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
