Job Description

Training & Professional Services (T&PS) within Boeing Global Services (BGS) F-16 Mission Training Center (F-16 MTC) is seeking a Systems Test & Evaluation Engineer to help complete the system design, integration, and test for various F-16 aircrew and maintenance-type trainers in support of the F-16 MTC program. This is a mid-level to senior grade position and will require that the candidate already possess the proper security clearance pre hire.  Please state clearance and date granted clearly at the top of resume.  In order to be considered for this position candidates must by either a Pilot or Weapon System Operator (WSO) in high-performance jet aircraft.  

Knowledge of the F-16 and basic fighter familiarity would be considered pluses.  The successful candidate will assist other members of the Test team in the performance of day-to-day operations in a fast-paced testing environment. Occasional domestic or international travel may be required. Off shift and weekend work may also be occasionally required to meet contractual milestones, objectives and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

 

Basic qualifications and experience

 

Knowledge:  Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Possesses general knowledge of other related disciplines.

 

Problem Solving:  Provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develops solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.

 

Impact:  Contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. Failure to obtain results, reaching erroneous decisions or making recommendations would typically result in serious program delays and considerable expenditure of resources

 

Attributes that would be nice to have:

Knowledge and previous experience with:  F-16 platforms

Knowledge and previous experience with:  F16 Mission Training Center Program

Knowledge and previous experience with: F-16 Test

Knowledge of Configuration Management (CM) process

 

Must have an active/current U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Must be a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R.  § 120.15?  “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
